【黒ムラの説明】
まるで古代の発掘品のような佇まいをみせる、高岡鋳物が培ってきた真鍮の伝統的着色技法『黒ムラ』。一般的な塗装やメッキとは異なり、画一的ではなく、ひとつひとつ表情があり、暖かみのある古美な金属の表情を作ります。使いこむと経年変化により、味わい・色味が深まり、真鍮鋳肌と同じように深い色に落ちつきます。
『黒ムラ』は、漆をベースに顔料を混ぜて調合した塗料で着色し、その後、熱を加えながら、刷毛を使って「おはぐろ」を刷り込み、ムラや表情をつけていきます。
仏具や仏像を昔から手がけてきた高岡鋳物に古くから伝わる着色技法です。
